CHARLOTTE, N.C. — SignUpGenius will donate $40,000 to four nonprofit partner organizations — $10,000 each — to join the Giving Tuesday movement and encourage charitable giving during the holidays.
Representatives from the company's partner organizations plan to visit the SignUpGenius headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday, November 29 to mark the annual Giving Tuesday national event. The representatives will share their nonprofits' highlights from the past year with SignUpGenius employees and receive their $10,000 donation checks. The North Carolina-based charities provide crucial services to vulnerable and at-risk children in Charlotte and across the globe.
"We're thankful that as a growing company, we've been able to increase our donations to nonprofits every year," SignUpGenius COO and CMO Angel Rutledge said. "The SignUpGenius community of users are on the frontlines when it comes to changing the world through their group organizing events, and it's an important part of our company culture to support those efforts with our financial resources."
SignUpGenius is encouraging its users — more than 10 million a month — to spread the spirit of Giving Tuesday by pledging charitable donations on an online sign up.
The company will give more than $100,000 this year to charitable causes. Helping vulnerable and needy children is a particular point of emphasis through donations to four main partner organizations:
SignUpGenius simplifies the process of coordinating events and people by providing online sign ups for non-profits, schools, sports, churches, families, colleges, businesses, and organizations. By enabling more than 10 million unique visitors per month to sign up for tasks online, SignUpGenius has done away with the need for paper sign ups, "reply-all" emails and phone trees.
