Magnuson Children's Garden Committee
LIKE MOST EVERYONE, we are still figuring out our new normal in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The way we care for the garden, and how we serve families who use the garden has seen huge changes. Despite these limitations, we realize how essential the relief and healing we can all find in nature, and we are so grateful to all volunteers who want to help keep the Children's Garden as well-maintained as possible, while adhering to guidelines needed for us all to stay healthy.
To that end, we have begun hosting small volunteer days, with attendance limited to a total of 3-5 people at a time, requiring everyone to wear a cloth mask while in the garden, bring their own gloves and tools, and maintain 6ft or more of social distancing. In addition, only children ages 7 and above who can follow these guidelines can accompany a parent or grandparent to any volunteer day.
Our planned events from mid-August to October are listed here too, but of course we're not sure if/when we will get the OK from WA State and the MG Program to resume public events. If you do sign up for an event that later has to be cancelled, Emily will get in touch immediately to let you know.
If you're the CG Committee member leading the volunteer day, please click on the corresponding signup button. If you're not leading the event, please use the other signup button. Once you've chosen your volunteer date(s), scroll to the bottom of the page to click on the "submit" button. Please leave a note in the comment section if you need to arrive late and/or leave early at any volunteer day.
Thanks so much for your understanding and care, and looking forward to seeing you in the garden!
