GCISD COVID-19 Testing





Parents:   Please note some changes with the COVID19 Testing Sign Up Genius Form:


  • Due to the high demand, we cannot accommodate walk-ins at this time.


  • Appointment times will be open in 48 hour increments (i.e., Tues/Wed,  Wed/Thurs, etc.).  Each day a new set of appointment slots will open up to 48 hours out.  This is due to our limited supply of COVID19 tests.  Thus, allowing appointment times for the number of tests that are available.


  • Currently, we are testing SYMPTOMATIC only.


  • For accurate test results,  it is best to test after symptoms have been present for a minimum of 24-48 hours.


  • Testing too soon could result in an inaccurate test result.


  • Please note:  if you have tested POSITIVE and have quarantined for 10 days AND your symptoms have resolved,  you DO NOT need a NEGATIVE test to return to school or work.


  • We appreciate your understanding of these changes.

If you are scheduling your student due to symptoms, your child will need 2 negative tests 48 hours apart. To help with this process, please make 2 appointments: 2 days apart.  If the 2nd appointment is not needed you can cancel it through Sign Up Genius.
