Pres House is partnering with the UW Frozen Meals Program. The mission of the UW Frozen Meals Program is to provide frozen meals at no cost to students who face food insecurity while simultaneously reducing food waste on campus. You can sign up to volunteer and help with receiving deliveries of frozen meals (Fridays) or with distributing meals to students (Mondays and Thursdays).
There is one shift on Fridays from 10:00-10:30am, and there are two shifts on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:00 and 4:00-5:15. Please feel free to sign up for back-to-back shifts on Mondays and Thursdays if you're available for the full time! When you come for your shift, please come to the lobby of Pres House Church (enter through the door on the patio with the sign saying "Enter Here").
UPDATE (11/18): In light of the latest guidance from the City of Madison and Dane County, we've adjusted our protocols for volunteers with the Frozen Meals Program. On Fridays, we are still holding space for two volunteers, but we would prefer that people only volunteer with members of their own household (like a roommate) so that we can limit the interaction of "bubbles." We encourage you to do a little volunteer recruitment and sign up with a roommate!
