At WHEAT Community Connections our mission is to give support to individuals and families who find themselves experiencing economic and personal challenges by providing emergency assistance and programs that promote self-sufficiency. We serve residents of Berlin, Bolton, Clinton, Lancaster and Sterling.
WHEAT serves hundreds of your friends, family and neighbors each month and we rely on contributions and volunteers to do the work. We truly cannot do it without you! Please consider a donation or come make a difference as a volunteer. You will be glad you did!
The Wheat Community Cafe serves hot meals in a warm social setting to anyone in need. Volunteers in this sign-up serve our clients hot meals and clean up.
Please fill out the Volunteer Application and either email it to [email protected] with a picture i.d. or bring both in when you come to volunteer. If you need community service that is court related, you MUST bring in something that shows the offense (everything is confidential). We do NOT accept any community service for violent crimes. If this is community service for school, please bring in any paperwork/contact information where hours are to be submitted.
Select a date by checking the "Sign-up" box (you can check multiple boxes at one time) and then at the bottom of the screen you will see "Submit and Sign up". After clicking this tab you will then be directed to a page where you submit your name, email and phone number (be sure to change the quantity number to the number of volunteers attending). Then click the tab "Sign up now". It’s really easy.
Note: For the safety of everyone, Masks are REQUIRED at all times while volunteering. Please do not come in if you're not feeling well, you've traveled out of state the last two weeks or you have been in contact with anyone who has COVID symptoms or has tested positive for COVID.
