We are looking for volunteers (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A DEACON) to support Media Food Bank behind Media Methodist Church (350 W. State Street in Media).
Duties: Purchase $100 worth of produce by case from Produce Junction (Broomall or Boothwyn) i.e. eggs, apples, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, etc and other seasonal produce. NO Root produce (onions, carrots, etc as they are being delivered by another organization.) NOTE: MCP will reimburse you out of the Deacons fund up to $100. You can donate more produce over $100 if you like. Or if you are under $100, i.e. you have $10 left and not enough to purchase a case, they will sell you 1/2 a case.
When: Every Thursday, between 9:00 am to 11:00 am or between 5:00 and 5:30 pm.
Reimbursement: Get a reimbursment form from Jill Lardon, attach the receipt, then drop it in the mailbox outside the church office. Address it to Jack Schoen in the office and he will cut you a check.
