My Friend's House
Summer is now in full swing as we celebrate Independence Day, start taking our summer vacations, and drinking lots of sweet tea on those lazy, hot summer nights...we all love summer!
Thank you for your interest in our Chef for the Night program! Our CFTN program allows for guest Chefs to plan, prepare, and enjoy a meal with the boys and staff of My Friend's House. From May 28-August 4, there are opportunities to provide a lunch meal for the boys. These slots are indicated by LUNCH and occur between 11am-1pm Monday-Sunday. If a date is not listed, it is a date the boys will be off-site or participating in an afternoon activity.
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up.
- Masks are optional, but please let us know if you are experiencing any Covid symptoms. We are happy to reschedule to another day!
- Sign in and sign the confidentiality statement.
We have both gas and charcoal grills if you would like to grill outdoors. Just let us know so we can be sure to have plenty of propane or charcoal available.
If you are not comfortable coming into the house, we do still have a table on the front porch for contact-free drop-off.
In addition, if you are unable to prepare a meal at the House with the boys, but still want to help, please feel free to have food delivered. Many restaurants in the area deliver and it's a great option for volunteers that are not local or are unable to prepare a meal on-site.
We ask that Guest Chefs prepare a meal for 8 boys and 2 staff. The boys generally have programming until 6 pm, so Chef slots are generally from 6 - 8 pm. If you have any questions, please email Melinda Duncan at [email protected] Or if you need to contact someone at the house, please call 615-790-8553. DCS rules state that no minors are allowed on campus when the boys are here.
Lastly, our address is 626 Eastview Circle in downtown Franklin.
If a date is not listed, it is a date that has been pre-selected by a recurring Chef for the Night Group.
Thank you for Chef-ing for the boys!
