2019 8th grade continuation

8th Grade Continuation Parent Food and Volunteer Spots

8th grade families and non-8th grade families:

The 8th Grade Continuation will be on Wednesday, May 22nd.

  • Lunch will be hosted by CRC at 11:30 for 8th graders at the school.
  • Evening ceremony will be followed by cookies and lemonade for the families.
  • After the ceremony, 8th graders' Continuation party in the Secondary Commons (no families - just non-8th grade family volunteers/high school volunteers/teachers). Dinner (Chipotle) will be provided for them and we could use some help with some additional items to help keep the costs down. Food for the Continuation party can be dropped off at the secondary school any time during the day on Wednesday, or before the Continuation ceremony. There is refrigeration available; please label anything which needs to be refrigerated or inform front desk so they can have someone move it to the proper location.

7th grade families  - In years past, and hopefully for many years to come, the 7th grade families help with 8th grade continuation in a variety of ways in order to allow for the 8th grade families to enjoy the days leading up to, during, and after continuation. Volunteers are needed to help set up the Field House and Secondary Commons and serve food and clean up at the reception and after-party.

In addition, on Thursday, May 23rd the kids will have a picnic at Outlook Park at 136th and Main from 10am-1pm (find a carpool!). We need volunteers to set up and monitor the kids during the picnic. Please sign up to help bring food or volunteer.  $5 cash donations will help cover the cost of the park rental and pizzas. See details below. Thank you for helping to make this a fun celebration for the kids!!
