Alice in Wonderland Auditions
Alice takes a tumble down an enchanted rabbit hole to an off-kilter world of mock turtles, dancing flora, punctual rabbits, and mad tea parties. Playing Cards hold court and nothing is as it seems in this land where whimsy and wordplay are the order of the day. Will Alice be able to find her footing in this bizarre place?! More importantly, will she ever figure out how to get home?!

What Do I Need In Order To Audition?
Please be prepared to sing a short portion of a song. Bring piano sheet music for a song you have already learned.
- Do not use a song from the show.
- Do not sing to taped music or sing a cappella.
You do not have to sing an entire song. We only want to get an idea of how well you can carry a tune and follow accompaniment. Sixteen to 32 measures should be sufficient. If you are "called back" for a principal role on callback night, we will ask you to sing some more.
If you do not have a song, we still encourage you to come, and we will have a few selections available for you such as "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music; "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz, or "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah".
You will need to fill out an audition form. This can be done in advance or at the the theater on the day of auditions. (If filling out at the theater, please come an additional 15-20 minutes early to allow time to fill out the form - including potential rehearsal conflicts). Is it a problem that I have summer vacation?
We expect that participants will have vacations planned during the summer. Jan, the director, will work around all vacations planned with two exceptions. There can be no missed Tech Week rehearsals and no missed performances. All other absences are okay and will be worked around!
When are Performances?
Please check your conflicts: there are no missed performances and no missed tech week rehearsals.
Tech Week: Monday, Sept 12 - Thursday, Sept 15 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Saturday, September 17 at 2:00pm
Saturday, September 24 at 2:00pm
Saturday, October 1 at 2:00pm
Friday, October 7 at 7:00pm
Saturday, October 8 at 2:00pm
Sunday, October 9 at 2:00pm
There are also school shows (field trip opportunities for schools to come see the show during the week). You WILL miss a day of school for these shows. It is considered a valid excused absence and a note will be provided. The school show performances are:
**THURSDAY September 29 at 9:15am and noon**
If you have any conflicts during Tech Week or performance dates, we ask that you not audition, but wait for a more convenient show. If you miss a Tech Week rehearsal or a performance, it will impact casting in future productions.
