Pearl Harbor Fundraising

Help us reach the Pearl Harbor Day Memorial Parade in Hawaii, December 2019! Please remember that all student performers for Pearl Harbor are asked to participate in at least 4 fundraisers, and we need adults too. We are taking sign-ups here for our last 2 fundraisers. Fundraising finishes in September, so discounts can be applied to October payments.

Saturday, September 14, we are going to collect donations in the Marshall parking lot and take them over to Unique. Soft goods (old clothes, bedding, and yes, stuffed animals!) make us the most money, but we can take small hard items as well (bag them separately). Please go around and get donations from your friends and co-workers too. Adults or students can sign up to help with the collection and delivery. In December, we made about $1000 from such a drive.

Saturday, September 21, we are going to help with the Ragnar race at National Harbor. They will pay us $800. Adults or students 16 and over can sign up to help with this. Students age 14-15 can sign up as long as a parent signs up with them. Student permission slips are required for the Ragnar race. Volunteers must register and fill out the permission slips at groups.runragnar.com/DC_Marching_Band (not on this SignUpGenius!), by September 7.

And it's not too late to find us a sponsor! Please click here to print out our sponsorship page (legal-size paper) and take it to a local business who would appreciate some advertising. Sponsors so far include the Optimist Club, Merrifield Orthodontics, and Microsoft.
