Ads make that possible. For free accounts, they help cover the cost of hosting millions of sign ups, sending automatic reminders and confirmations, and keeping the platform secure and reliable for everyone.

The free plan is fully functional and ads are simply part of how it stays that way.

What Changes When You Upgrade

Upgrading to a paid plan removes ads from your organizer view and from the sign ups you manage. Depending on your plan, that covers anywhere from one sign up to unlimited. The platform itself doesn't change. The same reminders, slot limits, and participation tools are all still there. What you get is a cleaner, quieter experience.

For organizers who run sign ups regularly, that difference adds up. No visual clutter while you're setting up. A more focused flow for participants when they land on your sign up. Less friction at every step.

Only the account holder can upgrade and remove ads. Participants cannot make that change from their end.

How to Remove Ads from Your Account

Once you've upgraded to any paid plan, removing ads from your sign ups takes just a few steps. You have two ways to do it.

Option 1: Through your account billing

Log in to your SignUpGenius account. In the upper right corner, click the circle with your initials or profile photo, then select Billing. Under Active Products, click Assign No Ads and check the box next to the sign up you want to update.

Option 2: Inside the sign up itself

When creating or editing a sign up, go to Settings and scroll to Preferences. Check the box that reads "Remove ads on this sign up," then save your changes using the green button at the bottom of the page.

Either path gets you to the same result. Once the change is saved, ads are removed from that sign up automatically.

If you manage multiple sign ups, you can assign your no-ads license through the Billing page to choose exactly which ones get the ad-free treatment.

Can participants see ads on my sign up?

Yes, ads may be visible to people signing up through a free account sign up. Upgrading your plan and removing ads clears them from the participant view as well.
