Edit Sign Up Slot

When the ‘Number Wanted’ is entered for a slot, you are choosing the number of people you want to sign up for that item. If you need five dozen cookies for a date/time, enter ‘One Dozen Cookies’ for the slot title and enter the number wanted as 5.  This will allow five people to sign up to bring one dozen cookies each. If you have an eager volunteer who wants to bring two dozen, she can simply choose a quantity of 2 when she is signing up.

  • To edit slots, log in to your account and go to the “Created” tab. Click the pencil icon to the right of the sign up. Go to the “Slots” tab.
  • In the top left corner, note the format of your sign up. If the format is ‘Sort by Slot’ change it to ‘Sort by Date.’ For any other format, leave the format as is.
  • If you have a recurring slot that applies to multiple dates/times on your sign up and you need to edit the slot for one specific date/time, no problem. Find the date/time where you need to edit a detail about your slot.   Click the pencil icon and choose to “Edit for this date/time only.”
  • If you need to edit every instance of the slot, choose the option to “Edit all instances of this slot.”
If participants have already signed up, the number wanted cannot be less than the number of people who have signed up. You can contact individual participants to work out the details, or if you need to remove people from a slot, see more information here.

If you want the sign up page to show as 'Sorted by Slot,' change the format in the top left corner to ‘Sort by Slot’ and click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page.

You can also easily edit multiple slots. To do this, be sure the sign up format is set to ‘Sort by Slot’ in the top left corner. Click the checkbox icon in the header.  You will now see checkboxes next to each slot.  Check the box in the header to select all slots.  In the bottom right corner, if your sign up has more slots, you can continue to page through and check boxes to edit additional slots. Once you have completed the selection of slots, click the ‘Edit’ button at the top of the page.

Once updates have been made, you’ll see an option at the bottom of the multi edit window to “Send an email notification about this change.” Check that box to see options available for notifying people associated with your sign up.
