Lasagna Love Chefs Are Serving Kindness with SignUpGenius

The Challenge

When previously homeless families and veterans get placed into new homes through Humble Design, making these spaces feel welcoming is vital. Lasagna Love, a community of chefs dedicated to providing home-cooked meals to those in need, saw an opportunity to bring even more comfort by delivering fresh lasagnas on each family’s special move-in day. The mission is simple - but coordinating the chefs, scheduling weekly meals, and keeping everything organized required an easy and adaptable solution for the entire organization.

The Solution

Detroit coordinator Anne Belleau-Mills SignUpGenius made it simple for the organization to schedule and manage their growing list of volunteers. Using sign ups, they can:

• Create slots for weekly lasagna deliveries.
• Adjust time slots as needed every 4–6 weeks.

The Impact

Since partnering with Humble Design Detroit, Lasagna Love Chefs have delivered approximately 3 lasagnas every week for 50 weeks a year, providing warmth and comfort to families on their move in day.
