SignUpGenius is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage cloud infrastructure, observability, security operations, and internal IT across the SignUpGenius, TimeTap, Learning Stream, Cheddar Up, and ClubExpress platforms. The role is US-based and remote, reports to the CTO, and works alongside the Principal DevOps Engineer. As a senior hire, this role will set infrastructure and on- call standards, lead incident response, and use AI tools as part of their standard workflow. Keeping production up is the top priority; they respond when it isn't and write the runbook afterward. They also own the service desk queue: access requests, new-hire setup and departure access removals, SSO, M365, and laptop provisioning and recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Observability and Incident Response: Operate Grafana and brand-specific alert routing; track SLOs and monitoring gaps; lead incident command and forensics; write and maintain runbooks and postmortems.
  • AWS, data platforms, and cost: Manage the multi-account AWS environment, including ECS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, EKS, Redshift, Route 53, ACM, and IAM Identity Center. Maintain Terraform modules, DNS and certificates; manage access to Redshift, QuickSight, and production Postgres, and manage VPC networking and AWS PrivateLink connections across accounts and services; keep data pipelines running, including Dagster on ECS, the Customer.io ingestion pipeline, and nightly brand-safety moderation jobs; and oversee FinOps, including log and metric costs.
  • Security and compliance operations: Maintain Cloudflare WAF and DNS; triage cloud and application security findings; coordinate remediation with engineering; manage EDR coverage, MDR alerts, credential rotation; and gather evidence for PCI DSS and SOC 2.
  • Email, identity, and service desk: Administer Exchange Online, outbound email delivery, and mail servers; set up SSO for staff and enterprise customers; manage the Jira Service Management queue; and handle staff onboarding and offboarding across Entra, M365, Intune, and Mosyle. Maintain the Ops Hub for intake forms, approval flows and equipment procurement integration.
