SignUpGenius Gives for Giving Tuesday 2018

giving tuesday givingtuesday service projects donations nonprofits 2018

We are excited to unite forces with local nonprofits to participate in a global day of giving on Giving Tuesday! After all, here at SignUpGenius we are all about bringing groups together to accomplish big things.

On Tuesday, November 27, our SignUpGenius team will be serving at a handful of Charlotte, N.C. nonprofits and we will be donating a total of $68,500 in celebration of the worldwide giving movement. This brings our company's overall giving to over half a million dollars since our founding in 2008!

Serving others is an important part of the SignUpGenius corporate culture, and we believe in giving back all year long with the 3 P's — product, people and profits. Our product helps people change the world, our employees impact communities through volunteering and a portion of our profits are donated to nonprofit organizations. Giving Tuesday is a day to unite communities and encourage serving throughout the year.

On Giving Tuesday, SignUpGenius will give $15,000 to each of our four nonprofit partners dedicated to helping vulnerable children here in Charlotte, N.C. and around the globe:

Our team also plans to spread the love by giving to our favorite nonprofits. Each of our 34 employees chose their favorite 501c3 organization, and SignUpGenius is donating $250 on each employee's behalf. This Giving Tuesday, SignUpGenius employees chose to give back to organizations such as:

  • Friends of York County Animal Shelter - FYCAS is a completely volunteer-run nonprofit organization assisting York County (S.C.) Animal Control with socializing and re-homing the adoptable animals at the shelter.
  • Beds for Kids - Beds for Kids empowers families with children by delivering beds and other essential furniture items to powerfully supplement the family's resources as they rise out of poverty and into self-sufficiency.
  • Taylor's Tale - Taylor's Tale is one of the world's leading voices in the fight against rare disease. Founded to honor one little girl with infantile Batten disease, they work to build a better future for one in 10 Americans — and 350 million people worldwide — who suffer from one of more than 7,000 rare diseases.
  • Our Bridge for Kids - Based in Charlotte, N.C. with a mission to provide a safe, nurturing, respectful environment for refugee and immigrant students and their families. Our Bridge is a place where people can adjust to a new culture, learn a new language and get the support they need to succeed at school and life.
If you are looking for an organization to donate to this Giving Tuesday, join us by giving one of the nonprofits our employees have chosen.
