And the winner is (drumroll, please) … Schwarzkoff Elementary School in Sterling Heights, Michigan!

Lisa Di Pirro nominated Schwarzkoff Elementary in our giveaway, and her school won $5,000 to go toward technology equipment! Lisa has taught special education classes at Schwarzkoff for 24 years, and she is deeply invested in her students and her school.

"Schwarzkoff is a full Title I school," Lisa says. "Through a grant, all our students receive free breakfast and lunch daily, as well as through a portion of the summer. We are a very diverse community both culturally and economically."

Lisa says that the school's technology has been outdated due to underfunding, but with this money they will be able to purchase upgrades. In addition to her school receiving $5,000 for tech, Lisa won a $100 gift card for nominating and winning. She also mentioned that Schwarzkoff loves using SignUpGenius.

"My school uses SignUpGenius to organize volunteers for all our major school events," Lisa says. "We love how it helps make our school events less stressful and more successful."

Our mission at SignUpGenius is to empower people to change the world by making it simple to organize groups, so we are thrilled to put new tech in classrooms at Schwarzkoff Elementary!

SignUpGenius is amazing! I've used it for a few years, but this year we upgraded to (premium), and it has been a game changer for our school! Being able to have that summary page with all the school sign ups together and being able to have multiple admins is well worth the cost of the yearly membership. ... Each time I think of ideas for new features, I find that you are already way ahead of me. Thank you so much for all you do!
