Youth Group Games

1. Two Truths and a Lie
Each student shares three statements about themselves — two true and one false. The group guesses which one is the lie. This classic game is easy, requires no supplies, and helps everyone learn fun facts about each other.

2. Human Knot
Students form a circle and grab hands with two different people across from them. The challenge? Untangle the “knot” without letting go. It’s a fun way to promote teamwork and lots of laughter.

3. Would You Rather (Group Edition)
Ask a series of “Would you rather…” questions, such as “Would you rather have pizza for every meal or never eat pizza again?” Students move to opposite sides of the room to show their choice. Great for sparking discussion and movement.

4. Four Corners
Pick a category (favorite season, ice cream flavor, holiday, etc.) and assign each corner of the room an option. Students run to their preferred corner, creating instant conversation starters with peers who share their pick.

5. Quick Skits
Divide into small teams and give each group a random object (hat, spoon, backpack). Each team has five minutes to create a short skit using the object and then perform it. It’s a creative, hilarious way to break down barriers.

🧠 Genius Tip: Use a SignUpGenius sheet to plan your game night in advance. Parents can volunteer to bring snacks, and students can sign up for roles like “team leader” or “game host.”

I just wanted to say thank you to the SignUpGenius team for such a fabulous website. I have been organizing a Christmas giving event at my office for almost 15 years. When I first started, I printed off "angels" and typed in wish lists for each kid and mom to be adopted for Christmas gift. ... Last year, I used SignUpGenius for the first time for my event. It has made a significant impact on organizing this event, saving me hours and hours of time. Plus, it allowed me to easily distribute information about the event. It has taken away much of the stress of coordinating this event, and I am able to reflect more on why I do this rather than stress over the details.
