St. Paul's Lutheran Church

Worship Volunteers

Thank you for serving as a St. Paul’s worship assistant, as we keep health and safety at the forefront of our Sunday worship preparations. Each weekend, four volunteers per service will:

  1. Guide/oversee worshipers as they arrive, directing them to masks, bulletins, entrance down side aisles, and movement to the middle if they are first in the pew, etc.
  2. Assist in identifying and signaling to pastors concerning those who need Communion brought to them in the pew at the end of distribution
  3. Wiping down door handles and pew tops between services
  4. Carrying offering plates to the vestry so the offering can be deposited, and the plates returned to the tables. Pastors will help guide.

We will light the altar candles prior to the start of the 8:00 a.m. service and simply keep them lighted for the entire morning.

Helpers are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the service; duties following the service should only take about 10 minutes.
