All volunteers must be 14+ and feeling well. If you are not feeling well or have any symptoms of coronavirus, please stay home. Please bring your own mask(s). Volunteers arrive at 8 am and the cupboard is open to guests from 9 am until 10 am. Old First aims to provide a healthy to-go breakfast along with clothing and toiletries.
You can contact us at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
Saturday AM Leader - This volunteer opportunity is held by a person who is trained and will be the contact person on the designated day.
Breakfast Team: The person/group that is resonsible for providing breakfast has the option of dropping off or preparing in our kitchen. Those who decide to use Old First's kitchen must limit their group to 5 people who are all vaccinated. Those who decide to drop off breakfast can do so between 8 am and 8:30 am Saturday morning. Breakfast includes a fresh/hot item with a protein, a snack and a beverage ready to go. Because we do serve our guests hot coffee, we reguest that our breakfast team bring a half gallon of milk. Please prepare 35-40 bags for distribution and do not include pork/bacon on these. Some examples include turkey bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches, with a muffin and an orange juice.
Volunteers (8:00 am to 10 am) - Our clothing cupboard functions as a “free store,” offering as much dignity and choice as possible given the availability of donations from week to week. Our clothing volunteers are responsible for breakfast distribution, sorting, and assisting our guests with finding a new outfit and picking toiletries.
