Join us as a Lincoln Arts Festival Volunteer!
The 21st Lincoln Arts Festival is a fun, family-friendly event held along Canopy Street and in the Railyard in Lincoln's Historic Haymarket June 18-19, 2022 (setup is on June 17). It's is a great way to give back to our community. Volunteered in the past? We would love to have you back. If you haven’t joined, jump in! As a volunteer you will experience immense satisfaction. Invite friends to sign up during your shift. Meet new people who share your interest in art. There are lots of fun things to do from set-up to tear-down, booth sitting, artist hospitality, arts activities and more! Help us make this a memorable event!
Here are the volunteer jobs we need to fill:
Festival Layout Crew: Do you have a mathematical mind? LIke to see everything in its place? Help us layout locations for artist booths in streets after street barricades are in place.
Set up Crew: Are you a behind the scenes kind of volunteer? Enjoy a good workout and great company? Must be able-bodied. Many hands make light work. We need you!
Artist Check in: Friendly, outgoing and enjoy greeting guests? This job's for you. Duties include greeting artists as they arrive, checking them into the festival, and distributing artist handbooks. All day on Friday, early on Saturday morning. Volunteers will become familiar with the festival layout, parking rules and traffic flow.
Booth Sitters: Get the inside skinny on the artist's life. Give the artists a needed break. Duties include staffing artists' booths to allow short breaks as needed, staffing the artist hospitality tent to provide refreshments to artists.
Entertainment Support: Love music, performing arts and hands on arts activities? We need your help setting organizing our stage area and interactive arts activities in the Railyard.
Lincoln Calling Support: Whether you know a thing or two about sound and staging or just want to assist with general needs that come our way, the Lincoln Calling showcase needs your support. If you enjoy being around music and working with local talent sign up to be part of this volunteer team.
General Festival Support: Commitment issues? That's ok. We want your help with a little bit of everything. Depending on immediate needs you can help us with general support and learn all aspects of the Festival.
Teardown: We appreciate our tear-down crew more than words can say. At the end of the Festival Sunday evening, we pack everything up for delivery back to storage. Must be able-bodied. Many hands make light work. Say yes!
