MASTER LIST Our Place Waldorf

More than a soup kitchen

This is the signup for the Our Place Waldorf Dinner Program held each Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday evening.

Dear volunteers, when volunteering at Good Shepherd UMC, please help us by coming through the back kitchen door. Please do not go through the front door. We were asked by the church to cooperate. Thank you.

Also, please park in the back of the building by the back door. The church has asked that we avoid backing into the parking spaces.

As a reminder, the door opens at 3:00. If you are early, please wait outside or in your car until the door is unlocked.

For more information about Our Place Waldorf please go to our website: http://www.ourplacewaldorf.org or our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/OurPlaceWaldorf (please "like us" while visiting us on Facebook).

We need your help and have two time slots available for volunteers.  However, please double check to make sure you're signing up for 2 different time slots and not 2 different activities during the same time slot. Before volunteering, please review the attached guidelines.

·       Special note: Friday and Sunday nights are at Calvary UMC. They do not have a commercial kitchen. They do have a regular size stove that can be used to keep items warm. The food that is brought in needs to be ready to serve. Some examples of this are: Hoagies with lunchmeat, cooked rotisserie chickens from Safeway, or food from a restaurant like Lasagna from Pizza Hot line. Salad, rolls, desserts that don’t require preparation, coleslaw, veggie and fruit trays are great sides that don’t require cooking prep at the church.

·         It is beneficial if all volunteers wear name tags (sticker type are recommended).

·         Pre-cooked food from a restaurant or frozen food is acceptable.

·         No homemade food – USDA regulation prohibits food to be prepared in residential homes and brought into the facility.

·        Ensure ALL volunteers read and understand the attached guidelines.

·         If you have any questions or concerns, contact Deanna @ (240)210-9813.
