The lawn mowing season is here and the trustees are asking for the congregations help. Volunteers are needed weekly to mow the lawn, it will take roughly one hour to mow the church lawn and another hour if you would like to help the Pastor and his family out by mowing their lawn also. An electric-corded string trimmer is also supplied.
The grass should be mowed on the Thursday of each week. This will allow us time before Sunday to get the mowing done incase of rain or the volunteer is unable to complete the mowing on Thursday.
If the volunteer is unable to complete their commitment it is their responsibility to find a replacement.
It will also be up to the volunteer to determine if the grass needs mowing, sometimes the grass doesn’t grow.
The Church asks that you be at least 18-years-old to use the riding lawn mower due to liability and insurance purposes. Be aware that the church can have cars entering and exiting the parking lot, people can be walking or riding bikes on the sidewalks and in the parking lot at any time.
Rules for the lawn mower:
Check the oil before you start
Use ear plugs (the church has a set of noise blocking earmuffs available)
Wear closed toe shoes
Wear long-pants when using the string trimmer
Wear safety glasses when using the trimmer
