CAIR Coalition Detention Hotline Volunteers
Thank you for your interest in volunteering on CAIR Coalition's detention hotline! We have transitioned to a new volunteer signup system, for both new volunteers and for upcoming volunteer trainings. In order to sign up for an upcoming hotline training, please click here.
If you have already signed up for an upcoming training through this SignUpGenius page, your signup is still valid and will be transferred into our new system. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected] Thank you!
In-office hotline volunteering is on hold in order to protect the health and safety of clients, staff, and volunteers in light of COVID-19. Hotline trainings will take place on a limited basis remotely, with remote hotline volunteer opportunities explained to attendees at that time. You will receive information about how to attend the remote training as the date of your training nears. Thank you!
Our hotline is a free phone line that detained immigrants in Maryland and Virginia can call in order to be connected with CAIR Coalition staff or their private attorneys. Hotline volunteers are essential to ensuring callers' ability to access legal services.
If you have never volunteered on CAIR Coalition's detention hotline before, please sign up for an upcoming training below. We always need Spanish-speakers, but all volunteers are welcome and necessary, regardless of language ability.
If you need to cancel your training signup, please navigate to your signup slot, then choose the third cancellation option, which will let you send a link to yourself. That link will allow you to cancel.
