Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad
March 18, 2020
Please note that at this time, the Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad is only to accommodate ride along requests for EMT students and prospective members. If you are currently enrolled in an EMT class or you have submitted and received an acknolwedgement of your membership application, please feel free to sign up for a ride along.
Ride alongs for the general public will begin once public health conditions are such that everyone's safety can be assured.
Thank you for your understanding.
IMPORTANT: Observers must be 16 or older, or 15 in the case of an enrolled EMT student. All observers must sign a waiver. Any observer under the age of 18 must also have a parent/ guardian signature on an Observer Waiver. If you're are under 18, please email [email protected] for a PDF copy of the waiver.
Please understand that by "Registering" for a shift, it does not necessarily guarantee it is confirmed! The email fron SignUpGenius stating you've registered is not a confirmation!! If you have not received an email from [email protected] confirming your ride along, we have not yet confirmed availability.
Ride alongs are for an entire 12-hour shift. Our day shift starts at 6:00am and ends at 6:00pm, and our night shift starts at 6:00pm and ends at 6:00am. Please arrive 5-15 minutes before the shift begins. You will need to wear closed-toe shoes and we will provide you with coveralls to wear over your street clothes.
In your sign-up below, please identify yourself as an EMT student of a prospective member.
We appreciate your interest in the rescue squad and hope you enjoy your shift. Again, PLEASE be sure to fill out the observer waiver form that you will receive in your email confirmation prior to arriving at the station for your scheduled shift.
Feel free to email [email protected] with any questions.
