Bethlehem House Aftercare Weekly Meal

All at Bethlehem House are extremely grateful for all those who reach out in service to support our mission.  We have identified a number of ways volunteers can sign up to support our weekly programing and the residents. This signup format is calendar-based and reflects volunteer opportunities that will be presented on a quarterly basis and will be updated with additional opportunities as they arise. Current Opportunity: Provide an evening meal for our Aftercare Program meeting (no service of the meal needed). The Aftercare Program brings together graduates (up to 15 women and their children) of the Bethlehem House Family Life program and meets weekly at 6:00pm on Thursday's.  Meals are needed for only the 1st, 2nd & 4th Thursdays of the month.  There are two locations utilized for the Aftercare meeting/meal.  On the 1st Thursday of every month the Aftercare meal is to be delivered to Reality Church in LaVista (10695 Portal Rd).  Meal would need to be delivered to Reality Church no later than 5:45pm. On the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month Aftercare meets at the Charles E Lakin Foundation in Council Bluffs (705 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA  51501)  Meal can be delivered to meeting site in CB by 5:45pm or can be dropped off at Bethlehem House no later than 4:30pm that day (the meeting site does have facilities to reheat).  Dinner might include a main & side dish, fruit and/or vegetable (kiddo safe), water bottles, juice boxes, etc.
