THANK YOU for choosing to volunteer at Wayside Waifs!
At our information sessions you'll get a chance to learn more about the programs and services of Wayside Waifs, plus what you can expect as a volunteer. After some Q&A, you can decide if volunteering at Wayside Waifs is the right fit for you. A tour of the shelter is included as well.
Informational sessions take place at the Wayside Waifs campus at:
3901 Martha Truman Road,
Kansas City, MO 64137
Please arrive in time to check in and find a seat. If you arrive after the information session has started, you will not be admitted. If you are coming to Wayside Waifs campus for the first time, please plan ahead. We strongly recommend that you arrive at least 10 minutes early.
Please enter through the Education and Training Center entrance on the west side of the building. Someone will be there to greet you and direct you to an available seat.
Please CLICK HERE to review our Covid-19 guidelines. Masks are required and we will keep seats spaced six feet apart. We will break off into small groups for a tour of the facility at the beginning of the session.
Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes are required during your tour of the Wayside Waifs campus. For your safety, we recommend wearing tennis shoes or other sturdy, rubber-soled shoes. Long pants are also strongly recommended.
