Food Pantry and Paws Farm Delivery
We need your help to take the donations from our lunch periods to the First Baptist Church Food Pantry (next to Carl's Shoes on Main Street) and then Mt Laurel Animal Hospital (220 Mt Laurel Rd in Mt Laurel) every Tuesday. Sign up for a Tuesday that works for you and then come to Roberts (MASKS ARE REQUIRED) to pick up the food between 9:00am -11:00am or 2:00pm-3:30pm. Once you sign in you will head to the cafeteria where the directions will be on the refrigerator. Your child can be called out of class to meet you in the cafeteria to help sort the food. Make 2 separate boxes: 1 for the Food Pantry (follow the instructions on the refrigerator to decide what should go in each box) and 1 for the Animal Hospital. Some weeks there may be more than 1 box for each place, depending on how much food was collected that week. Also, the Tuesday following Food for All Friday (the first Friday of each month) will include those donations as well. Check in with the kitchen staff as they may also have an Animal Hospital box put aside for you to take. Once the boxes are packed, please take a photo of everything all packed to be emailed to Mr. Carter, load your car and drop off at the Food Pantry at the First Baptist Church on Main Street and Mt Laurel Animal Hospital. Drop Off Times are as follows:
- If you are just planning on dropping off at the Church by yourself: anytime between 11:30am-1:30pm OR 5:30pm-7pm. Park in the lot and go in the side door, where someone will greet you and expect these donations.
- Mt Laurel Animal Hospital donations should be taken into the office and dropped off by 6:00 - call the Animal Hospital (856-234-7626) to make arrangements if it needs to be later than that. DONATIONS SHOULD NOT BE LEFT OUTSIDE OVERNIGHT. Parents/volunteers can bring their kids to drop off donations and feed the animals. If you are not going to feed the animals, there is a red barn in the back to leave the food. So instead of parking in the entrance area, keep going straight towards the back and the barn is there with the doors open. Leave the food on the left hand side, next to the garbage cans filled with food.
I know this sounds like a lot, so we have a few parents trained and ready to help you for the first visit. Please reach out if you would like help and we can coordinate a "Trainer". Email Sarah Maute ([email protected]) and Mrs. Wilson ([email protected]) once you are signed up, and we will make sure you get the help you need.
Thanks for helping!
