Medfield Music Association
Are you ready for some football?! Well we are and look forward to watching the game and watching the Warrior Pep Band pump up the crowds on game nights. Medfield Music Association hosts a snack table for our Pep Band at every home game and the musicians love it. Can you help out? Are you free to staff the table and purchase the snacks (MMA will reimburse you)? If so, please consider signing up below. Thank you.
The volunteers have to bring and set up their own table or borrow one from the school. They can bring their own chairs if they want. I also used the music table cloth and MMA banner. And I furnished napkins and hand sanitizer so those can be added to first game list though we probably have leftover hand sanitizer in a box somewhere. If you are coordinating at your house, maybe all of this is together with the food so the volunteer can pick up before the game and deliver it all afterwards so leftover snacks can be used.
Kids come to the table during half time and third quarter so best to set up before then but can leave at the start of the 4th bc they don’t come back after the game is over. After set up, I put something over the items on the table (table cloth or sheet) to hide the snacks until the kids came to the table. People always wanted to buy the snacks so covering them was the best way to deter that. I felt we shouldn’t compete with the snack shack and directed people to buy stuff there. Last year they really liked Rice Krispie treats a lot - they went quickly every time. They also liked Welch’s Fruit Snacks and Cheez its/Goldfish. Oreos / cookies came in smaller packs - 2 or 4 - better than larger packs. Chips and popcorn were less popular but still good options . Usually went through 1-2 waters per student. Hot chocolate in late Oct. and Nov. was also popular.I think there were usually around 40-50 kids and each student typically take 3. I’d add one big box of individual sized Cheez its (or Goldfish), Welch’s, and Rice Krispie treats (like from Costco) to the first game. Leftover snacks can be passed on from one volunteer to the next.
