F3 Charlotte Rescue Mission
Charlotte Rescue Mission provides free Christian-based residential recovery programs that help men struggling with addiction. F3's workout there is called "Mission I'm Possible". We meet at 9AM every Saturday at the Charlotte Rescue Mission site at 907 W 1st St, Charlotte, NC 28202.
F3 has a great impact on CRM residents – it welcomes all men, no matter their addictions, home address, background, fitness, job status, financial status, etc. We reflect that in naming them, which is a sign that they are one of us: simply men working to improve our physical beings so that we can serve others.
This workout is not about you....It is about THEM, the men at CRM who are working hard to get their lives in order and back on track. We come to serve.
As Q your responsibilities for this workout are:1) to support the physical and emotional well-being of the Pax as they recover their health, 2) to honor the safety and security protocols of the CRM and the Pax, and 3) to provide exemplary leadership for the workout.
Important Rules when posting at Mission I'm Possible: 1. Know, understand and follow all rules for volunteers; 2 Do not give anything directly to the clients, including a ride in your car. 3. Sign in when you arrive at the front desk of the CRM; 4. All donations (clothes, etc) must go through the front door, this includes workout gear such as gloves and sweats which can be given to residents, 5. Our contact at CRM is Bill Longley, but Carrier is liaison with CRM and all communications with the CRM should be through him; 6. Workouts should be "core-centric" with modest amounts of running. 8. It is the clients' responsibility to know the rules and consequences of CRM; hold them accountable; we do not want to ask the administration what they are allowed to do as that is their responsibility. 9. We are not here to solve their problems; we hope to give them some skills support and confidence in order for them to do it themselves. 10. No pictures.
