Food Pantry Volunteers
Holy Innocents Catholic Church (Duvall, WA) operates a Food Pantry serving residents of Duvall, Carnation and Monroe that relies entirely on volunteers to serve our 45 -70 families per week. Thank you for helping feed our neighbors!
Covid Pantry Operations:
During Covid our operations have changed significantly. Instead of clients coming into Holy Innocents to shop for themselves, we have been preparing boxes of food for each household for them to pick up at a set time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This allows for fewer and shorter interactions of clients and volunteers, much of which are outside. Clients fill out a preference form, so each box is uniquely prepared for each family.
On-campus precautions have been taken as well. Sign-in sheets, required masks, limited numbers of people, increased airflow, and heightened cleaning have all been enforced to create a safe and responsible space for folks to volunteer and ensure our clients receive needed food and household supplies.
Masks are required to be worn while on campus.
Volunteers 65+: We ask that volunteers who are 65 years and over-limit interactions with clients and focus on the abundant pantry tasks that involve no interaction with the public such as sorting goods, packing boxes, washing food containers, organizing the meat freezers, etc.
Youth Volunteers: Volunteers under 18 are welcome to join us but must volunteer alongside a supervising adult. Teens (14-17 years old) may volunteer independently ONLY on Tuesdays 4:30 – 7:30. Please indicate you are a teen when you sign up.
How to Sign Up: Review the available slots and sign up for as many as you'd like. To sign up click the Sign Up button for each slot you want to volunteer for and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Submit & Sign Up button.
We appreciate and count on our volunteers and cannot operate smoothly without you. Please do everything possible to show up for your volunteer times.
Thank you!
