Alpha House Family Shelter

Thank you for offering to serve, with St. Francis, the 5-6 homeless families at Alpha House, May 20-26, 2019. (Note: We plan to do this again on May 20-26, 2019, & Sept 23-29, 2019. Our contact there is Kathy Koehler.)

Both adults and children are welcome to volunteer together. For ALL volunteers over age 17 we need a full legal name (including maiden names or other former names) to run background checks (on Family Watchdog, a list of sexual offenders). So, in addition to this sign-up-genius process we need you to email your full name to our volunteer coordinator, Mark Sturgis [email protected]

Purchase, cook and serve meals (about 25 people including dinner volunteers). Volunteers can eat too! Here is the list of meals served recently, and, here is the list of current residents, which gives information about the ages of the kids and about food allergies.
Engage children in activities after dinner while parents do chores.
