Join us about once a quarter as we help sort medical equipment for Project C.U.R.E.! What is Project C.U.R.E.? The Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment. It is a national nonprofit organization collecting and redistributing donated medical goods to countries facing poverty and disease. We are fortunate there is a warehouse here in metro Houston - at 8251 Kempwood Drive, Houston, TX 77055.
What do we do? We help sort boxes of donated medical supplies into sorted bins. Once a specific ‘bin’ is full of sorted supplies, our volunteers pack the contents into boxes, label boxes, and prepare the boxes for shipment. A brief training and orientation at Project C.U.R.E. will be sufficient for you to volunteer. No medical knowledge is required.
We meet in the church parking lot and leave at 8:15 am to carpool. We will work at the warehouse until 12:30 and then return to the church arriving around 1:30.
