The Personal Fitness merit Badge is a 12 week program that is intended to introduce you to health and fitness concepts. There is a classroom session that is focused on health with a baseline session on your fitness. There will be bi-weekly sessions where you will do a mile run, pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, and flexibility measurements.
These sessions will be one hour prior to the scout meetings on Mondays to minimize logistics for you and your parents. Please get a copy of the Personal Fitness Merit Badge Book and begin to read it. I will send out worksheets prior to the first meeting. This is probably one of the more difficult merit badges to get based on the dedication required to attend over a three month duration, but it is an Eagle Scout required MB and is only earned in the troop once per year.
