Aftercare ELEMENTARY Drop-ins: May

Below we have outlined our Aftercare policies and procedures for Elementary Aftercare. Please read through this carefully so that you are aware of any potential charges and fees, and so that you know where to pick up your child after hours. If your child is contracted for aftercare until 5 or 6pm every day, there is no need to use this Drop-In Aftercare Sign-Up, but it would be helpful to read the Pickup Procedures section below. 

Sign-up and Cancellation Procedures

Hopefully you will find the system easy to use, as you can sign up and make changes from your smartphone, tablet or desktop rather than needing to be at school. In fact, it would be a good idea to bookmark this page in your browser(s) so you can find it when you need it. Please note that if there is not an available spot, then Aftercare is full on that day and we cannot accommodate any other children and are unable to maintain a waitlist. It's also possible that it could be a school holiday or minimum day, so double check your calendar against the school calendar (available in your summer mailing packet or on our website).  The sign-ups will open exactly one month in advance, so keep this in mind as you plan your Aftercare needs. Please make sure to cancel or sign-up no later than 12:00pm so that we can print an accurate roster for our staff. After 12:00pm, please contact the school office to inquire if there is space available. If we can accommodate your aftercare need at that time, there will be an extra $15.00 fee imposed. Please be aware that if aftercare is already full, we will not be able to accommodate your child and you should be prepared to make other arrangements to have your child picked up by dismissal.

Charges and Fees

Childcare is available for Elementary level children on an hourly basis from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at a rate of $11.00/hour or any portion of the hour. If you sign up for a space and do not need it, please remove your child's name from that slot as soon as possible to make it available for other families in need of childcare, or no later than 12:00pm. Also, if your child is sick on a day he/she is scheduled for Aftercare, please contact the school to have your child removed from the Aftercare list (and also to let us know that your child will be absent that day). If a child is signed up for a space in aftercare and does not attend, an $11.00 fee will be charged. All children must be picked up by 6:00pm (there is an $11.00 charge for each five minutes you are late).  

Pickup Procedures

El. Aftercare will be split between both the Redwood and Willow House classrooms this year. Please use the gate code 94903# to access the school grounds, walk in through the main door, walk down the long hallway, and pick up your child from the appropriate classroom door. Please remain in the doorway area and let the Aftercare staff (Lesley or Katie) know that you have arrived for pick up. The Aftercare staff will ask your child to clean up his/her work and will dismiss him/her from the classroom door. Make sure to sign out your child from the aftercare clipboard before you leave campus.
