2020 Bike MS Deception Pass Classic, WAS. - Skagit County Fairgrounds

September 11-13, 2020.

Please read the below Volunteer Consent Form prior to signing-up. If you are under 18, you must bring the form SIGNED BY PARENT OR GUARDIAN, with you to the event.

Event Set Up - Team Expedia (15)

Unloading and distributing supplies, setting up tents, tables, and chairs, hanging banners and signage, decorating tents and tables (heavy lifting required 50lbs)

 
11:30am - 4:00pm  

Volunteer check in (2)

Checking in volunteers, ensuring paperwork is turned in and volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their volunteer shift.

 

Mission Tent (2)

Setting up area with appropriate supplies, managing the mission area during the event which may include disseminating Society print materials, speaking to constituents about the MS Society.

 
Skagit County Fairgrounds 1410 Virginia St. Mount Vernon, WA 98273  2:00pm - 6:00pm  

Parking Assistance (4)

Volunteers will direct riders and volunteers to designated event parking areas.

 
2:00pm - 8:00pm  

Registrations (Background check required) (10)

Check in participants, collect waivers, retrieve their rider packet (bibs, wrist bands, etc.), their t-shirt or jersey. Must be friendly and quick-thinking. Welcome participants and be ready to answer questions. Training is provided.

 
2:30pm - 7:00pm  

Entertainment Support (7)

Organize and execute fun carnival games for participants.

 
2:30pm - 8:00pm  

Bike Coral (Team Slalom) (5)

Check in and check out participant bikes. volunteers do need to be able to lift and maneuver bikes to and from the racks and participants.This is an indoor job and a good way to meet and interact with the participants.

 
4:00pm - 6:00pm  

Blue Lizard Band (5)

Live show

 
4:00pm - 8:00pm

Checking in volunteers, ensuring paperwork is turned in and volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their volunteer shift.

 

Dinner (2)

Assist staff with set-up for meals. There will be no cooking involved, and assist with the clean-up process.
