2020 Walk MS: Kenosha-Racine

Set Up (5)

Unloading and distributing supplies, setting up tents, tables, and chairs, hanging banners and signage, decorating tents and tables (heavy lifting required 30lbs).

Registration (8)

Greeting and checking-in walk participants, collecting pledge envelopes and donations, providing general event information. (additional training may be required) (Background check required for volunteers handling donations).

T-Shirt Table (2)

Organizing supplies and shirts by size and type, handing out shirts to qualifying participants, keeping area tidy, providing excellent customer service.

Volunteer Check In

Checking in volunteers, ensuring paperwork is turned in and volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their volunteer shift.

Breakfast Table (5)

Setting up and orgainzing food service area, handing out food to participants, cleaning up area and putting away supplies. *Basic and safe food preparation and handling is required and volunteers will be provided hand washing station.

Medical (2)

The Medical support team consists of certified medical professionals (EMT, EMS, RN, etc), who administer First-Aid to event participants. *Must provide proof of certification

9:00am - 12:30pm  

Photographer (2)

Say cheese! You will be tasked with capturing team photos, start & finish line, participants along the route and overall photo ops throughout the event. Volunteer must own a digital camera and be able to submit photos to the office.


MS Lounge

Setting up/breaking down area with appropriate supplies, managing the mission area during the event which may include disseminating Society print materials, speaking to constituents about MS Society.

9:30am - 11:30am

volunteers will be placed along the route to ensure walkers are going the correct way

Spirit Start/Finish (10)

This is the time to celebrate and kick off the event by cheering on all our walkers as they begin the course. Then as they make their way back be ready to cheer each participant as they cross the finish line.


Rest Stop (6)

Activities Include: Setting up/taking down the site, running hydration/fruit stations, serving food and beverages to participants, providing excellent customer service. (Occasional lifting may be required)
