Festival Site Volunteers

Volunteers make Bike MS possible!

Each year, thousands of people across the country join the Bike MS volunteer team. From planning event details and calling past participants to providing safety and support for riders at the event, volunteers make Bike MS happen, and are the foundation of why Bike MS is the largest cycling fundraising event in the country.

Join us for BIKE MS: Gateway Getaway on September 12-13, 2020.

  • Please choose your preferred volunteer shift(s)/activities from the list below.
  • Final Confirmations, with full details, will be sent to you 1-2 weeks prior to the event.

Registration Team: Rider Check-in (5)

Assist participants with checking in and providing necessary information and swag for the ride. Direct riders to the appropriate registration and pick up lines areas. Must have very good customer service skills. *Complete/pass background check*

 

Bike Compound (2)

Setting up bike racks, checking bikes in/out of secured area, ensuring cyclists receive great customer service.

 

Retail (4)

Organizing jerseys and t-shirts by size and type, keeping area tidy, providing excellent customer service. *requires background check

Registration Team: Rider Check-in (5)

Assist participants with checking in and providing necessary information and swag for the ride. Direct riders to the appropriate registration and pick up lines areas. Must have very good customer service skills. *Complete/pass background check*

 
5:30am - 11:00am  

Volunteer Check-In (2)

Checking in volunteers, ensuring paperwork is turned in and volunteers receive a t-shirt and instructions for their volunteer shift.

 

Retail (4)

Organizing jerseys and t-shirts by size and type, keeping area tidy, providing excellent customer service. *requires background check

 
6:00am - 12:00pm  

Bike Compound (2)

Setting up bike racks, checking bikes in/out of secured area, ensuring cyclists receive great customer service.

 

Festival Area Support/Floaters (2)

Be available throughout your shift to help staff and team tents as needed. Such as driving golf carts to bring supplies to tents. Help with the overall cleanliness of the site. Moderate to heavy lifting

 
6:00am - 1:00pm  

Medical Tent Festival Area (2)

The medical support team consists of certified medical professionals (EMT, EMS, RN, etc) who administer First-Aid to Bike MS event participants

 

Photographers (2)

Capture key moments and interactions among participants through photos or video. Take photos of Bike Teams. Have a creative and detailed eye for action or still shots. Must own digital camera or video equipment.

 
11:00am - 3:00pm  

Massage Therapist (4)

Comfort our cyclists’ weary muscles throughout their journeys. Massage therapy volunteers must show proof of massage therapist license or be a student supervised by a certified instructor.

 
11:00am - 3:30pm  

Start/Finish Line Spirit

Cheer the riders and congratulate them on a job well done as they return to finish line. Help hand out participation medals.

 
12:00pm - 6:00pm
