Before signing up below, each homebound minister must register as a member of the regional ministry team, receive initial training in conducting a communion service and fulfill any required facility orientation, background checks, etc. (Check with regional leaders or facility staff to find out what is required)

Ministers conduct a communion service on Mondays at 1:30 PM for about 4-8 residents. Ministers can also visit rooms after the service for those residents who couldn't come to the service (list provided by Faith or her assistant, Patti). 

We have hymnals and communion service cards on site.

If you can't make your slot, please find a sub by calling the other volunteers listed or ask Michelle Kazanjian to help you, 734.660.6268. 

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check and get settled. 

COVID Proctocol

Follow any guidelines posted by the facility and comply with screening procedures.

Always wash hands upon entering the building, before distributing communion, and going in and out of patient rooms. Do not come if you have any symptoms of sickness, if you have been in close contact with someone who is sick within a 48-hour period, or, in cases of COVID or exposure to COVID, until the full quarantine recommended by the Washtenaw Cty health department has passed.
