Live Out Love Nashville
Join Nashville Tree Foundation as they plant over 180 trees at Fisk Park in North Nashville. This Metro Park took a direct hit by the March 3 tornado, and was devastated. In partnership with the Garden Club of America, Nashville Tree Foundation is working to replant many of the trees that were lost. Because there are so many trees going in at once, the holes for the trees will be pre-dug with an auger. This means the volunteers will do the exciting work of preparing the hole (ensuring its the correct depth), taking the tree out of its container and freeing the roots, rolling it into the hole and backfilling/mulching/watering the tree.
We appreciate your time and energy for this event!
You will be working in a small team of people and can request to stay with your family, small group, or COVID-bubble, so sign-up together!
Tools and cotton work gloves will be available to borrow. We encourage every volunteer to bring their own tools if possible, to reduce the need for tool sharing. All tools are sanitized before and after use, and attached is our COVID protocol for tree planting events. Also attached is the waiver for volunteers to complete and bring with them to serve.
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Social distancing precautions will be in place and gloves provided. We request you wear a mask during participation. Thank you!
