Hoyt Arboretum has established a goal to remove all invasive ivy from our grounds by the end of 2020 -- this volunteer event will be huge step forward in that larger project. Volunteers will also be working on general clean up and improvement of the Archery Range with a variety of supporting tasks.

About Hoyt Arboretum and Stand Together Week:
Hoyt Arboretum is Portland's global museum of living trees, with a focus on tree and plant conservation, public education and outdoor recreation. The arboretum is located in Washington Park and features 12 miles of trails that are open daily and free to the public. Washington Park is also home to an outdoor public archery range (the only one in the region), the location for this volunteer event.
Stand Together Week is the Portland Timbers, Thorns FC, and T2 citywide volunteer initiative that brings the community together to support local nonprofit organizations. The week engages hundreds of supporters, including players, coaches, ambassadors and front office staff who work with various non-profits in the community. Since 2012, Stand Together Week has mobilized 5,395 volunteers to provide the Portland metro area with 18,290 hours of service at more than 226 events benefitting youth and the environment.
