The Art Association presents PUMPKINS ON FIRE FALL FESTIVAL 

Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 12pm - 6pm

Art Association Ceramics Studio: 240 S Glenwood St

Please select volunteer slots below and click 'Submit and Sign Up' at the bottom of the window. Make sure you are comfortable with the duties of the slot(s) you select.

Help A!A staff set up EZ-Up tents, trash cans, other event materials. Must be able to stand, lift, squat.

Collect payment on ceramic pumpkins, ceramics, etc. Will be using an iPad and handling money

Welcome / How-To Liaison (2)

Stand on one side of the Glenwood St. parking area to welcome patrons. Explain the raku firing process & how the sale works

 

Glazing Liaison (4)

Oversee the raku glazing process. Instruct patrons on how to apply glaze to ceramics and how use the tools. Keep the glazing area clean. Put out new ceramic pumpkins at "release times".

 

Cooling, Cleaning & Sorting of Raku Pumpkins (2)

As the pumpkins come out of the raku kiln, cool them and sort them.

Clean and sort pumpkins. Put finished pumpkins in their individual, labeled bags and sort them for patron pick up.
