Registration Line: Answer our registration line and assist families in signing up for Thanksgiving Baskets. You will enter the registration information directly into an online spreadsheet - so general computer knowledge and data entry skills are essential along with good phone skills and customer service. Comfort working with a Bluetooth headphone is great. Volunteers who are bilingual in Spanish are especially encouraged to help though this is not a requirement. We greatly appreciate volunteers who can help for two or more shifts. 18+
When signing up for a shift, please ensure you are available for the entire time. Due to the extremely large number of volunteers we work with to make Thanksgiving Baskets a success, shifts may not be shortened or split.
Parking/Biking:There is plenty of on-street parking available around the center (please leave our lot free for program participants). We are also on a bike path and have bike parking available (please lock your bike).
Where to meet: When you arrive for your shift, check in at the Ironworks Building front desk. (149 Waubesa St.)
Volunteer Release: If you have not volunteered with GCC this year, please bring a completed copy of the volunteer release with you. (download from this sign-up genius page). We will have blank copies if you have any trouble accessing the document through this site. Releases for youth must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Thank you for your help! If you have any questions, please contact our volunteer department.
