Medical Student Services
Welcome to the LCOM Student Well-being Drop-in page. Drop-ins are available to meet with the LCOM Director of Student Well-being, Dr. Lee Rosen, and with the LCOM Well-being Advisor, Dr. Marissa Coleman. Please carefully read the information below:
Dr. Rosen offers blocks of student drop-in times in order to make himself available to students to discuss any last-minute/emergency issues or concerns, or for the opportunity to briefly touch base with the Director of Student Well-being. Each drop-in is scheduled for 20 minutes. If you prefer a phone meeting, please remember to include your phone number in your sign up.
Dr. Coleman serves as the Wellbeing Advisor for LCOM students. Additionally, she is a Lead Staff Psychologist and EDI Senior Advisor at UVMMC. Dr. Coleman is pleased to offer support to LCOM students in a variety of manners including:
- Individual Consultation
- Small Group Support
- Referrals for Psychotherapy within the community
Dr. Coleman's support encompasses a culturally humble approach to what we consider health and wellbeing. Notably, these support sessions are not considered therapy; however, an open dialogue about potential psychotherapeutic referrals can be a part of our time together. The drop in times are scheduled for 30 minutes and take place via Zoom unless otherwise discussed.
Dr. Coleman has suspended drop-in hours until mid-June 2022. However, she is still available by appointment. Please email Dr. Coleman directly to schedule a time to meet.
Please contact Summer Griffin at [email protected] with any questions. Or feel free to reach out directly to Dr. Marissa Coleman at [email protected] to learn more about her services.
