2018/19 KMHS Swim and Dive
Parent Volunteers are the most valuable asset that the KMHS Swim & Dive Team has. They tirelessly staff and run the events so that the kids and coaches can do their job. We are thanking you in advance for all of your help! We have put together the specific needs that we are aware of right now. These might change as we receive updates, so please check back.
Gate admission is typically $5 and includes a heat sheet. All sports passes are only accepted at KMHS hosted meets. Cobb county teachers can get in for free with ID and can bring in one (1) guest.
**If you do not wish to fulfill your three (3) meet requirements, please advise us at the beginning of the season so that we may cash your "hold" volunteer check and fill the spots.**
Timers--Without them, we cannot hold a meet! Wear clothing and shoes that can get splashed.
Runners--These volunteers take the time sheets from the timers and deliver them to the score keepers.
Gate/Heat Sheet--These volunteers check people in and take money at the gate. Some of our locations have limited seating capacity, so they monitor the correct number of people allowed entrance, which keeps us fire code compliant.
Concessions--These volunteers help run our concessions sales which is a fundraiser.
Hospitality--these volunteers (with support from Concessions) provide and man pot luck food for Judges/Coaches/Referee's, etc. (service for . Suggestions are muffins/donuts, apples/bananas and OJ for breakfast time meets; sweet tea, chips, fruit, granola bars, sandwich tray, etc., for afternoon/evening meets. Paper plates, napkins, cups too. Disposable, plastic tablecloth for a 6ft. buffet table. Typically provides food for 20.
Senior night committee chair--We need a senior parent or a group of parents to help plan the awards and gifts to be given when we recognize our seniors swimmers and divers at the Mountain Madness meet. Please speak to Coach Reason.
Banquet Committee--The Swim and Dive Banquet is traditionally a fun, but fancy affair held at North Star Church on March 19. We need parents to head up decorations, food and desserts.
