CARNIVAL BAKERS NEEDED
Do you like to bake? Doesn't everyone like to bake, or at least like to eat baked goodies?
Baked goods are needed for one of our children's Carnival games - our Cake Walk. The baked items will be a prize for the kids, so let's have fun with this.
What is your favorite baked goodie to bake or eat?
Great!!! We love that too! Bake your favorite or easiest recipe. If you like it, the children will too.
What kind of items do we need?
Cupcakes, brownies, cookies, cakes, cookie bars, whatever you like. Have fun with this and be creative if you want. Kids love frosting, gummy bears, m&ms, sprinkles, you name it, they like it. Do you like to bake cupcakes or cakes?
Example: Crumble oreo cookie crumbs on top and add gummy worms, and you have a "dirt" cupcake.
How much do we need and how do we wrap things?
Bake a "batch" of cookies or brownies, or cupcakes using one box mix. If you bake 24 cupcakes, brownies, or cookies, divide them up into two "platters" (a cardboard gift box or strong paper plates are fine). If you bake brownies or a cake from a box mix, use two 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 disposable foil pans. Wrap everything using plastic wrap/cellophane so that the children can see what they are choosing as their prize.
When do you we need these by and where do I drop them off?
Baked items should be dropped off anytime Friday, September 23, in Russell Hall between 9-6 pm.
Thank you for helping to make our Carnival a fun event for our young parishioners!
