The 2021 Backpack Drive and Back to School Event is scheduled for Saturday, July 31, 2021. Because of generous donors like you, the FRC children will receive full backpacks and various other items. Last year we served over 500 children.
We are accepting the school supplies and other items from NOW UNTIL JULY 30th.
We will be following COVID-19 guidelines and the majority of the event will take place outside.
Pre Event Day Volunteers Needed: July 29th and 30th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm to help set up and fill backpacks
Event Day Volunteers Needed: July 31st from 8:30 am-12:30 pm to help distribute school supplies and backpacks
Donations Needed - Grades K-12:
- New Clothing - Girls/Boys, All Sizes, Pants, Shorts, Tops, T-shirts, Dresses, Underwear, Socks, Shoes, and Personal Hygiene Products
- New Backpacks - The K-5th grade kids love styles that have fun colors, designs, or characters. The 6th-12th grade students prefer styles that are large, sturdy, and that can hold heavy books and personal items.
- School Supplies - Notebook paper (both wide and college ruled), 3 Ring Binders, Dividers, Rulers, Spiral Notebooks, Glue Sticks, Calculators, High School Scientific/Graphing Calculators, Pencil Cases, Pencil Sharpeners, Washable Markers - Thin & Thick, Erasers - Pink Rectangle & Pencil Top, Crayon Boxes, Scissors (for littles and bigs), Composition Notebooks, Highlighters, Graph Paper, Compass, Protractor, 3x5 Index Cards, Staplers, Staples
- Gift Cards/Cash - Gift Cards and Cash help us fill in the gaps when we are filling the backpacks. These donations will be used to purchase school supplies that we are short on. Walmart, Staples, etc.
