Ruby's Pantry Volunteers for October 10, 2022

Help us bring smiles and delight our guests with lots of food on Monday, October 10 during our next Ruby's Pantry food distribution.

Consider how you might use your gifts to help us make this the best distribution yet and sign up below!

When you arrive at Bethel to help with the distribution:

  • Please park in front of the church office on the Eastside or across the street in our parking lot behind the grocery store.
  • When you arrive, we will have hand sanitizer and gloves for you to use while handling food.
  • Please dress for being outside and wear closed-toes shoes.
  • Check-in with Pastor Jonas for your assignment when you arrive.

Our schedule for the day will be:

Setup Crew: 4 p.m.-5 p.m. - This team gets us prepared and ready for a great distribution! Please arrive by 4 p.m. ready to help count items, repack non-perishables, organize cold items for easy access, setup flags, cones, garbage, and recycling, etc. Feel free to stay late and help with traffic, food, or clean up. Remember, have FUN!

Traffic Crew: 5 p.m.-7 p.m. - Direct traffic at the North Entrance and help with checking in guests all with a big smile. If we have a LOT of guests, keeping the traffic moving is an important role. If we are light on cars, jump in and have fun with our food crew.

Food Crew: 5 p.m.-7 p.m. – Load cars with food and help keep the traffic moving all while having FUN! We want our guests to feel loved and see Jesus in how we serve. Most of this crew will have an assigned station next to a pallet and run from the pallet to the car with one or two items.

Clean Up Crew: 7 p.m.-8 p.m. - Collect any left-over food and distribute it to local food pantries, break down boxes, store pallets, and sweep.
We need a few volunteers each time to volunteer to use their vehicle to bring food to YWCA, New Life Center, etc.
