The Prince William Area League of Women Voters will be holding our annual meeting on May 21, at 7:00 PM. We will be using Zoom, an application that many of us have become familiar with during the last weeks. You will be able to attend while having dinner, in your pajamas, on your couch or kitchen table.
During the Annual Meeting we are going to vote on the LWV-PWA budget for the fiscal year 2020-2021. It is a significantly pared down budget, due to the budget committee’s reluctance to rely on the possibility of grants that will probably not be forthcoming. We will be concentrating on spending our money carefully, on voter education and registration, hopefully in the high schools as well as during civic events. We will be using social media, including our website VOTE411.org, to inform voters more heavily than we have before. The budget is the only item that we will be voting on, as none of the offices are changing.
Please review the attached budget. If you have any questions, contact one of the members of the budget committee, Lorraine Schooner [email protected] , Connie Gilman [email protected] , or Carol Proven [email protected]. Download the 2020-2021 Budget at the link below.
