2019/20 Jerome Swim Team
Thanks for signing up to help with Team Breakfasts! Breakfast is served in the Jerome cafeteria at 7am after lifting evety Friday morning.
The team has a breakfast bin with all the condiments, paper products and syrup. We also have two griddles to make pancakes.
Please touch base with the others signed up so that everyone knows what everyone else is bringing. We need at least 2 parents to stay at the school to help serve and clean up. If you plan on donating food but cannot stay, please arrange with one of the other volunteers to drop off your donation to them, or bring it to the school Friday morning by 6:40am.
We are feeding 29 kids. There is an estimated quantity next to each item. These are amounts that have worked in the past - if you aren't sure - make more - we rarely have food leftover - especially the main entrees and proteins (eggs, breakfast sandwiches, casseroles, etc).
We do not need all of these items. We DO need a protein, pancakes, fruite and drinks each week. Each volunteer should pick 2-3 items to bring. The kids will get to the cafeteria at 7:00. Plan to arrive at the school around 6:30-6:40 to set up and start making pancakes.
SAMPLE BREAKFAST CHOICES:
Pancake batter (prepare at home) - enough for about 90 pancakes
Sausage/bacon 3 pieces per person - about 60 slices total
Scrambled eggs - 3 dozen
Egg casserole/Quiche - 2-3 9x12 casseroles (one vegetarian option please)
Breakfast sandwiches - about 50 (a few vegetarian please)
Yogurt and Granola, 12 at most
Fresh fruit: bananas, strawberries, grapes, apples, oranges, etc - to serve about 30 (bananas - we only need 6 cut in half)
Muffins/Breakfast pastries - 2 dozen (cut into servings)
Hash browns or potatoes 2 8x12 casseroles.
Oatmeal - enough for 10-12
1/2 gallon juice (we have plastic cups in bin)
2 gallons chocolate milk (we have plastic cups in bin)
Small bottles of water-don't need many, because most have water bottles.
