Students will need to prepare 30-60 seconds of a Musical Theatre song in the style of the show, character-specific if they are looking to audition for a particular character. They will need to bring their completed audition packet, as well as a recent (within 6 months) headshot - it DOES NOT need to be a professional headshot! They will also need to bring a karaoke/instrumental track with them on a phone/tablet (we have an aux cable and bluetooth) to sing along with - students cannot audition a cappella/without music.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled audition slot. Students will wait in the lobby, then will be called in individually for their audition time. We will introduce ourselves, chat with the student, listen to their prepared song, and ask any questions we may have, as well as answer any the student may have, as well. Each audition will not last longer than 5-10 minutes. Callbacks will be on an as-needed basis. If your student is not called back ,it does not mean that they will not be cast in the show or even in a principle role. It just means that we saw everything we needed to see from them in order to place them.
**Rehearsals will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays, and one Saturday each month from February-April; however, all students WILL NOT be called for every rehearsal! We will look over the conflict calendars that you will provide as a part of your audition packets and make our rehearsal schedule based off of those. Again, we will not require all students at every rehearsal. We believe that balance is important and students should have plenty of time to spend with family, friends, other classes and activities, etc. That said, we expect that students who are cast in this production make the rehearsals that we do schedule a priority and continue working on their blocking, music, choreography, and scripts outside of rehearsal, as well.
The audition packet includes more information about the production, performance fees, and other items, as well. As always, though, you are always welcome to email us at
with any questions or concerns. We can't wait to start this fantastical adventure with you!
